I remember the good ole days, when all the posers just said they were snipers.Any “sniper” that doesn’t know the transsonic threshhold of M118LR out of 3 different types of guns is a fucking liar.As for universal questions for “snipers” of all ages (“I was a sniper in the 80s!”), any “sniper” that can’t immediately tell you the distance between the two leading edges of mil-dots is also, very suspect.  If you spends WEEKS looking through and using mil-dots at school, then YEARS looking through mil dots in the field…  .mil to MOA conversion is also a great way to trip up the poser d-bags

Finished my carbine.  The goal was to keep a home defense/SHTF because of massive earth quake carbine simple and low cost without sacrificing quality.  Quick plug for Dennis Todd (DToddMG@aol.com).  Dennis is a collector with hard to find firearm parts.  I bought an N marked Colt fiberite stock from him which Colt does not make anymore.  It is a battle used stock (rack number still on it, I didn’t paint that nor would I ever) because Dennis sold out of newer condition stocks, so if you’re looking for something that is out of production he might have it.  The weapon light pictured is an Inforce APL (200 lumens w/ 1.5hrs run time) mounted on a Midwest Industries FSP rail.  I picked the APL because it has a momentary/constant setting and is comfortable to press with the way it is mounted.  The handguard had to be drilled into so the IWC QD mount could be installed.  The QD mount is held by a ring similar to a piston ring found on motorcycles but smaller and set screws.
Parts List:
BCM M4 SOCOM upper
BCM carrying handle
BCM FA BCG
Midwest Industries FSP rail
Inforce APL
IWC QD Mount
RRA CAR handguard
BCM H buffer/tube/spring
Colt N marked Fiberite stock
Mega lower w/ PSA LPK and ACT ALG
BFG VCAS Sling
